The decision to put to sea or stay at sea, and the responsibility for the vessel and crew, is solely that of the skipper. If the Bureau of Meteorology’s “Perth Coast Forecast” issued at 0400 for any fishing day of the event includes a strong wind warning for that day, that day’s fishing may be shortened or cancelled at the absolute discretion of the Tournament Committee.
It is the skipper’s responsibility to ensure his crew are kept safe and PGFC do not recommend fishing in high wind or swell.
For up-to-date information please keep an eye on the PGFC Facebook page, also text messages may be sent out to captains over the event.
